In 2019, Ignite Travel Group became fully acquired by Flight Centre Travel Group providing a gateway for Ignite to exclusively promote its holiday packages through Australia’s largest travel retailer, Flight Centre, with global expansion on the horizon.

Ignite Travel Group’s Directors and Management are skilled practitioners from the hospitality, tourism, technology, marketing and advertising sectors and have played key roles in the development of market-leading enterprises.
Some of the best people from the hospitality, airline and tourism sectors now head our respective divisions for accommodation inventory acquisition, airline contracting and tourism industry relations that support both our promotional and retail travel businesses. Our marketing and creative teams continue to deliver outstanding promotions and programs to both national and international clients and tourism partners. Randall Deer
Founder
Founder of Ignite Travel Group (ITG), Randall’s passion is innovation. By the age of 25, Randall was appointed the General Manager of one of Australia’s largest private resort groups and just 3 years later, played a leading role in the creation of Australia’s largest publicly listed (ASX) integrated travel groups. Since launching RewardsCorp in 2005 – an innovative tourism marketing company that challenges traditional practices – Randall has continued to create and deliver unique, profitable and sustainable travel marketing solutions that have led to the unprecedented growth of Ignite Travel Group resulting in the company being awarded the most innovative travel company for 3 consecutive years by BRW Magazine. Testament to his success as an industry frontrunner, Randall has also been named Gold Coast Young Entrepreneur of the Year for 2 years running and continues to be recognised for his progressive business models in travel and marketing.
Ryan Thomas
Chief Executive Officer
Chief Executive Officer of Ignite Travel Group (ITG), Ryan brings a wealth of leadership experience. Ryan previously held the position of Regional Managing Director (South East Asia) for G4S, one of the world’s largest services providers. Ryan was responsible for 8 countries, $600 million in revenue and over 50,000 employees. Prior to this Ryan was Chief Operating Officer of ITG and has a history of senior operational, legal and financial roles within public and private companies. Ryan holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Accounting.
Samuel O'Brien
Finance Director
Finance Director at Ignite Travel Group Samuel’s goal is to help drive strategic growth through all business streams by aligning business opportunities to every day operations. He developed his passion for travel after completing his Bachelor of Commerce at Griffith University with a move overseas. Since moving back to Australia he has added 5 years of travel industry experience at Flight Centre Travel Group in a number of roles.
Rod Carrington
General Manager, My Holiday
After 21 years’ experience in the travel industry, Rod joined Ignite Travel Group in 2013. Following a 2-year contract in the United Kingdom, where Rod managed the wholesale division and sales teams for Flight Centre Travel Group, Rod returned to Brisbane in 2012 to head up Flight Centre Travel Group Australia’s land contracting area. This included contracting product for Australia, South Pacific, Asia, South Africa and United Kingdom/Europe. It was after completing his Bachelor of Business – Marketing in Brisbane that he decided to travel the world which was where he developed his passion for travel. Rod has joined the Ignite team as a General Manager, My Holiday to drive the strategic direction of product recruitment.
Jason Fountain
General Manager Holiday Exclusives
Jason Fountain has been with Ignite Travel Group since its inception and continues to provide first-rate value in the position of General Manager – Holiday Exclusives. Jason brings esteemed experience from the travel and tourism industry after working with Starwood, Marriott, Interpacific Resorts and more as well as holding a Bachelor of Business majoring in Club and Resort Management. Jason oversees the smooth operation of Ignite Travel Group’s Holiday Exclusives brand and ensures the division runs like a well-oiled machine.
Conrad Dickson
General Manager ICT
For over 23 years, Conrad has been heavily involved in the Information Communications and Technology (ICT) sector with a broad range of hands-on experience within the industry. Adding more value, Conrad possesses qualifications beyond ICT, spanning into the Project Management field and has applied these skills within the travel and tourism industry since 2004. Conrad joined Ignite Travel Group in 2006 and has since been successful in enabling the company to achieve more by driving ICT solutions that meet the company’s overall strategy.
Michael Middleton
General Manager Cruise
Bringing a wealth of knowledge to his position as General Manager of Cruise, Michael joined Ignite Travel Group after most recently spending 8 years building up and running Western Australia’s largest Cruise company, Bicton Travel. An impressive career spanning 30 years, Michael’s industry experience has primarily focused in cruise specialist environments seeing him run his own travel agency in New Zealand and 9 years’ worth of management roles throughout leading Cruise retailers in the United Kingdom.
Raymond Han
General Manager Touring
From beginnings in successful family-owned retail travel agencies, to pioneering discounted touring success through the explosion of online travel agencies, Raymond’s professional achievements have enabled affordable and accessible quality holidays for hundreds of thousands of Australians to touring hotspots worldwide. Joining to spearhead the powerhouse Touring Division of Ignite Travel Group in 2019, Raymond is on a mission to revolutionalise touring and shape the way travel is distributed and consumed. His leadership and vision add a new dimension of travel to service Ignite customers and their dynamic needs. Driven to source mutually invested tourism partners, maintain longstanding relationships and deliver unparalleled quality of experience; this addition of bespoke and flexible touring empowers customers and amplifies the unbeatable value of My Holiday and Holiday Exclusives holiday packages.
