The group has evolved from a patented travel-based rewards and promotions business to an awarded, multi-channelled innovative travel-marketing corporation. Ignite Travel Group parents RewardsCorp, and Ignite Holidays - comprising My Holiday Centre and Group Buying Escapes. For the 3rd consecutive year, Ignite Travel Group has taken out top honours for travel in the esteemed BRW Fast 100 Awards.

Leadership Team

  • Randall Deer, Managing Director

    Founder and Managing Director of Ignite Travel Group (ITG), Randall's passion is innovation. By the age of 25, Randall was appointed the General Manager of one of Australia's largest private resort groups and just three years later, played a leading role in the creation of Australia's largest publicly listed (ASX) integrated travel groups. Since launching RewardsCorp in 2005 – an innovative tourism marketing company that challenges traditional practices – Randall has continued to create and deliver unique, profitable & sustainable travel marketing solutions that have led to the unprecedented growth of Ignite Travel Group resulting in the company being awarded the fastest growing travel company for 2011 and 2012 by BRW Magazine. Testament to his success as an industry frontrunner, Randall has also been named for the second consecutive year as 2012 Gold Coast Young Entrepreneur of the Year and continues to be recognised for his progressive business models in travel and marketing.

  • Glen Archer, Director Business Development

    Glen applies his passion for marketing and product innovation to develop successful promotions for our partners. Joining Ignite Travel Group in 2006, Glen has been an integral part of the company's expansion and development. Glen holds a Master of Business Administration (Bond University, Australia) and Commerce degree (Canterbury University, New Zealand) and prior to working for Ignite Travel Group, held various senior positions in global travel and leisure based businesses as well as his own entrepreneurial start-ups.

  • Rod Carrington, Director of Product Development

    After 13 years experience in the travel industry, Rod joined Ignite Travel Group in 2013. Following a two year contract in the United Kingdom, where Rod managed the wholesale division and sales teams for Flight Centre, Rod returned to Brisbane in 2012 to head up Flight Centre Australia's land contracting area which included contracting product for Australia, South Pacific, Asia, South Africa and UK/Europe. It was after completing his bachelor of Business Marketing in Brisbane that he decided to travel the world which was where he developed his passion for travel. Rod has joined the Ignite team as a Director of Product Development to drive the strategic direction of product recruitment.

  • Megan Jurisich, Chief Financial Officer

    In a career spanning more than 20 years, Megan possesses a wide breadth of experience in the accounting industry that saw her assume the role of Chief Financial Officer of Ignite Travel Group in early 2012. After completing a Bachelor of Business with a major in accounting, Megan began her chartered accounting career with KPMG and has been a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants since 1996. Her industry accomplishments comprise a distinguished CFP with The Financial Planning Association of Australia, representing an internationally recognised standard of excellence. Culminating her interests in finance and strategy, she transitioned from public practice to a commercial environment in 2004 to work with the fast moving consumer goods industry.

  • Kim Skilton, Group Marketing Director

    A tourism-marketing specialist, Kim combines her passion for travel and years of marketing experience to deliver and manage the strategic marketing direction for Ignite Travel Group. Kim has held senior marketing roles with a number of leading travel organisations including Accor, Flight Centre, Echo Entertainment Group and Virgin Blue – during which she headed the marketing team for the launch of the airline's loyalty program: Velocity. Nominated for AFTA's Best Sales Representative Award and a recipient of Flight Centre's Global Marketer of the Year, Kim thrives on the dynamic combination of travel and marketing.

  • Glen Duggan, General Manager, Retail Operations and IT

    An industry authority, Glen heads Ignite Travel Group's retail operations unit and central information technology department. With an impressive scope of proficiency in the business process and operations sectors, he has delivered exceptional and tangible results involving both start-ups and performance turnarounds across multiple verticals. Glen has a history of delivering large scale infrastructure and software projects, customer automation technologies, workforce optimisation and business intelligence programs for some of Australia's most prominent corporations, namely Commonwealth Bank of Australia, AUSTAR Entertainment, AMP Financial Services and American Express. Glen holds a B.Bus (Marketing) from Monash University.

  • Directors

    • Ryan Thomas, Non-Executive Director

      Ryan Thomas is currently the Regional Managing Director (South East Asia) for G4S one of the world's largest services providers. In his role, Ryan is responsible for six countries in his region, with over AUD$450 million in revenue and approximately 40,000 employees. Previously Ryan was the Chief Operating Officer for Ignite Travel Group. He has an MBA and a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in accounting.

    • Gary Dainton, Non-Executive Director

      BSc (Hons) Economics, FCA, GAICD
      Mr Dainton was appointed as non-executive Director on 20 June 2005. He worked for 15 years at KPMG Corporate Finance, the investment banking side of KPMG's business, in the UK, Australia and the US. As a Partner of the firm, Mr Dainton advised public and private companies on all areas of mergers and acquisitions, capital raisings, and corporate restructuring projects. In 2003 he founded Odyssey Capital Partners, a boutique Corporate Advisory and Funds Management business based in Sydney. Its Corporate Advisory business provides investment banking advice to listed and unlisted middle-market companies. Mr Dainton is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (England and Wales) and a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He is the chairman of the audit, remuneration and nomination committees of the Company.
